12 Days of Bible Journaling – The Christmas Story Day 8

Hello Everyone,

Day 8 of my journey leads me to Matthew 1: 1-18 ESV, the genealogy of Jesus Christ.

I love that in this genealogy we see the good, the bad and the ugly,  We find murderers, adulterers, liars, prostitutes, gentiles, weak, broken people.  God came to save anyone and everyone and the line of Jesus represents that!

I especially love that He included 3 women in this list!  Tamar, daughter-in-law of Judah who seduced him to have children, Rahab, the prostitute who helped Joshua’s spies in Jericho, and Ruth, Naomi’s daughter-in-law, who embraced the God of her husband and mother-in-law with her whole heart!

Jesus came to earth to save all people!  It is our choice whether we embrace Him or not!  My prayer today will be a prayer of praise and gratitude for the grace He has provided to me!  I hope that you know Him in a personal way too!  Please leave me a comment and share your faith, thoughts, questions – I would love to hear from you!

Eazy Peazy journaling!  I applied gesso to the entire page (you can get the free tutorial on gesso in my Resource Library through the link below) to protect it from bleeding through.  I stamped the Christmas bulbs and “women in the line” and colored with Stampin’ Write Markers.  Supplies used are listed below.

Be Blessed, Mary Ann

  1. This is such a good reminder that God came to save us all! No matter who you are or what your life is like. He forgives all! I thank God for saving my soul and loving me unconditionally! My prayer today is that I would be able to love others unconditionally just as Jesus does.
    Thanks Mary Ann
