So I am snowed in here in Indiana for the second Sunday in a row!!! I missed Church again this morning and I hate that but I am a snow driving wimp so here I sit!!
The good thing about being snowed in is having plenty of time to craft!!! I have been working on a lot of projects that I will be sharing with everyone. Starting with today’s “Making Sunday Simple” project.
I have seen many beautiful cards made with the Winter Woods stamp set that was in the Holiday Catalog! I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, so I got it out today! It is a beautiful stamp set and still available in the Holiday Favorites. I used a sentiment from a new bundle Climbing Roses that just came out in the Occasion Catalog. This card embodies the very idea of simple stamping – creating a beautiful card, quick and easy, with only a few products. Let me show you how I did it!
The first thing I did was make my card (5 1/2 by 4 1/4) using Whisper White cardstock. Next I sponged the background. I used Melon Mambo, Pacific Point and Coastal Cabana. I used sponge daubers and lightly brushed the color on in layers. The above sample is my 1st attempt and you can see the round dauber spots at each end of the brush marks – stamp off your sponge dauber after inking to prevent this! Next I stamped the trees and the sentiment with Stazon. Easy Peazy!
