One Sheet Wonder with Stampin’ Up! cards are perfect for an afternoon of crafting! It’s Sunday afternoon and I have another “Making Sunday Simple” Tip for you! One Sheet Wonder Cards are a favorite of mine. Use one sheet of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!, card bases, embellishments, and your favorite sentiment and you can have 6 cards in no time! I love quick and easy and this is it! With Stampin’ Up! products everything coordinates making this technique super simple.
Sundays are my day of rest and relaxation. Church in the morning, lunch with family or friends, and a lazy rest of the day. I usually like to craft in the afternoons, it’s quiet in the house and I can really be creative. I end the day by finishing my weekly bible study and relaxing with a good tv show. My kind of day!! If I’m not really feeling creative I can just pull out a piece of pretty Stampin’ Up! DSP and do one sheet wonder cards. I am always in need of Thank You or Thinking of You Cards and this technique is great for producing beautiful cards, really fast, and with very little effort. Just check out the six cards below made with Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!
So What is the One Sheet Wonder Technique?
One Sheet Wonder is taking one sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and making 6 or more cards in a small amount of time using templates to cut your DSP. There are all kinds of templates on Pinterest on how to cut your DSP to get as many different cards as possible. You can look at my Pinterest board here: One Sheet Wonders
I like the simpler approach. I usually cut my 12 x 12 sheet into 6 – 5 1/4 inch x 4 inch pieces and using these layers I assemble my cards. I can add die cuts, embellishments, sentiments and within minutes have 6 beautiful cards. This is especially easy with Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers.
What Makes Stampin’ Up DSP so Great!
1. It’s double sided – there are beautiful patterns on both sides of the sheet and they coordinate!
2. It’s color coordinated with other Stampin’ Up! products including: inks, cardstock, ribbons, pearls and other embellishments!
These 2 things makes putting together quick and easy cards – quick and easy! I love that every package of DSP clearly states on the back what Stampin’ Up! colors coordinates with the designer series papers inside. This makes it very easy to choose cardstock and embellishments quickly, knowing they will match perfectly!
Color Coordination is something that can make a card or ruin a card. I love putting fun colors together and trying new things and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t! Stampin’ Up! helps us out with their color suites, and a full line of products that work together perfectly. They also have a “Color Coach” that can get you started on putting fun colors together! You can find that Color Coach below in my free Resource Library!
